My dedication to orthodontics is inspired by my desire to provide patients with an investment that lasts a lifetime. In addition to orthodontics, my focus has also included eliminating the headaches and migraines that can be caused by a bad bite.
I began my career at Carnegie Mellon University and obtained my Doctorate in Dental Medicine (DMD) in 1997. In addition to my DMD I also obtained my Masters in Business Administration, (MBA) and Masters in Public Health (MPH) at the University of Pittsburgh. I received my Orthodontic Masters of Science in Dentistry from Saint Louis University in 2005.
I continue to study in order to stay up-to-date with the constantly evolving practice of orthodontics, particularly in the areas of self-ligating braces, TMJ and obstructive sleep apnea.
Outside the practice of Orthodontics, my passion is God, my family, and my patients. My hobbies include boxing, golf and racquetball.
For the past 40 years I have had the privilege of practicing orthodontics and have experienced how a beautiful smile and the correct bite can completely change a person's pride and confidence.
The backbone of my practice is dedicated to helping my patients achieve this result. Orthodontics has become more than just a job to me but rather my true passion in life.
I obtained my education at the University of Pittsburgh on a football scholarship where I was captain of the 1965 Pitt football team. In 1969 I graduated and pursued my Doctorate in Dental Medicine. In 1971 I went on to specialize in orthodontics receiving my Orthodontic Masters of Science in Dentistry degree in 1974.
I continue my education on a consistent basis, staying current with leading-edge technology and techniques, such as the Damon® System and the treatment of Tempromandibular Joint Disorder (TMD).
